From the funkafied west coast of Canada, Tyler Martens (aka Stickybuds), has been making his mark on music all over the globe. In the last year and a half he has toured in Brazil, UK and Canada headlining and supporting with some of the best artists around. His work ethic and passion have earned him a residency at Shambhala music festival (2005 – 2010), and great gigs all over the place.

With 8 releases under his belt on esteemed labels like Goodgroove Records, Bombastic Jam and Fort Knox Recordings he brings to the table his unique mix of funk, hip hop, reggae, breaks, and big basslines. His tracks have received global play from his heroes like Featurecast, A.Skillz and Fort Knox Five, while frequently hitting number one on best seller charts like the well respected Juno Records store.

Passion for sound design and music has also earned Tyler a role as a teacher at the Center of Arts and Technology (Kelowna, BC) where he helps sculpt the producers of tomorrow. He can also be found teaching his production workshops on the road building a network of like-minded individuals and spreading his passion for music.

2011 looks bright with a slew of upcoming remix’s and solo ep’s scheduled, a tour of Australia and New Zealand and many shows in North America. The future is bright for the forward thinking and all around nice guy Stickybuds.
