Otkun is the solo project of Othman Sahbi, member of the Artist Association "ATOMES" (FRANCE), which includs some heavy labels like Zenon Records & Aboriginal Records. He is also a member of Nomadstribe crew (Transahara Festival- Morocco). From a very early age, I have been strongly influenced by electronic music and specially by MAO softwares.
In 2002 I got my first taste of psychedelic sound when I was given Astral projection :: Liquid Sun (2000) album, by my friend Abdou (Nomadstribe_Transahara Fest). From then on, my thirst for electronic music grew and grew and shortly afterwards, I made my way to my first psychedelic party. Since thenmusic has been a big part of my life. The positive vibrations have held my fascination strong and I have been an active member of the psychedelic scene in Montreal since 2003. I began stydiying sound synthesis in 2007 in UQAM University and learned the process of generating sound from analogue and digital electronic hardware. Since then, my mixing philosophy is to make people dance, smile and go crazy while showing them the beauty of the psychedelic music. I don't really have a particular style, the feel of my tracks depend very much on the mood I'm in whist creating them. My intention is to creat more music for those who feel that psychedelic music is not just a 'fashion' or style of music but a vision, a way of living and a feeling.
In 2010 and 2011, Otkun is releasing tracks many amazing labels such as Space baby records (Ukrania), Glitchy Tonic (UK), Logic Vision (CAN), Psyseed Recs (BRA), Atomes (FR) and many others.
In late january of 2011, he was invited to join BHOOTESHWARA RECS by the almighty Blisargon Demogorgon as a label Dj!! This psytrance project is called Kurukulla.
