DRKWTR

Drkwtr began his career as a lead guitarist and backup vocalist for a rock band before falling into his true calling.

When he steps behind the decks, you will usually see him play a collection of different Breakbeats, however, he does keeps an assortment of Techno, Electro, and House, which will occasionally make its way to the dancefloor.

Drkwtr is also one third of Bongwater, a group known for their unorthodox mixing techniques, and clever use of effects. You will often hear a mashup of Downtempo, Experimental, IDM, Glitch, Trip Hop, Nu Jazz, Funk, and other various Electronica.

As a producer, Drkwtr generally follows a minimalist approach and draws heavily from jazz, and funk. He tends to favour producing broken beats, the use of strong melodic composition, and a storytelling/progressive sequencing structure tied with a techno-aesthetic, however he has been known to deviate into 4x4 and other styles of composing.

He has a track signed to "We Are Live" UK and several independent releases under his belt.

Drkwtr is currently working on an album: "A DJ's Guide To The Zodiac" which features himself and a few other artists of his choosing, as they create various genres of Electronica to represent the Zodiac signs through the interpretation of personality traits to sound. This album is set to release next fall.
